Acme Visible is always looking for more environmentally sustainable solutions to provide to our customers. We are also committed to operating our own business with the least possible impact on the environment.
LEED: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
Customers renovating or building out new premises often need products that will help achieve LEED certification. High density storage systems help qualify because of the floor space they save. Our mobile shelving manufacturer's products have all been installed in LEED projects. Acme Visible will work with you to ensure that all components of your shelving installation (grout, plywood, glue, paint, low formaldehyde, etc) are documented for the certification process. Shipping distances can also be reduced because of the various supplier options we have across Canada.
We carry a full line of storage solutions from Spacefile that are Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certified. Spacefile is certified to the highest level meaning the products emit less than 1/100th of the currently published Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) or no greater than half of California's Chronic Reference Exposure Levels (CRELs), whichever is lower. Special painting processes minimize volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI):
Most of our paper products are SFI certified to ensure that our supply chain complies with sustainable forestry practices. The SFI standard covers key values such as protection of biodiversity, species at risk and wildlife habitat; sustainable harvest levels; protection of water quality; and prompt regeneration. All SFI certifications require independent, third-party audits and are performed by internationally accredited certification bodies.
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC):
Some of our products are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council which is an international not for-profit, multi-stakeholder organization established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world’s forests. The main tools for achieving this are standard setting, certification and the labeling of forest products. The organization is based in Bonn, Germany.
